ATTITUDE

Well done to all of you who got yourselves into work yesterday. You may have been lying in bed thinking how nice it might be to stay in bed and not go in to work, but you did go in. That’s attitude. Our attitude determines our success; or rather your attitude = your success
There’s an old proverb that sums up attitude completely;
“2 men in jail looking through the bars; one sees the mud the other sees the stars…”
So the question would have to be; what’s your attitude bringing into your life right now?
Are you focusing your mind on positive outcomes and reaping the rewards; or are you letting yourself get bogged down in the negatives and finding yourself feeling frustrated and lost?
But… even when we have a plan in place, that’s not enough on its own. Attitude is what drives me to get out of bed or swap the warmth of my home to get out there .Whatever your goal, whatever your plan; if your attitude is right, you’ll reach your goal or target.
I want to leave you with a story about a blind man who sums up attitude perfectly. Up until his early 20′s he could see (like you and me) and then he lost his sight (along with his brother Geoff). For almost 30 years he believed that due to his blindness he couldn’t do a great deal with his life. Then one day his brother Geoff decided to set sail from Durban in South Africa to the western coast of Australia; single-handedly with the use of speech output technology. Everybody thought he was mad and there wasn’t a single company that would insure him to do this. Geoff did it anyway and to this day he is still the only blind man to sail across an ocean single-handedly! This spurred his brother on to change his attitude, and in the last 10 years he has achieved some unbelievable feats.
This blind man and good friend is called Miles Hilton-Barber. In his words, he is “an ordinary guy doing some extraordinary things…” Check out his website at: www.mileshilton-barber.com or even better still buy his audio cd on Amazon called ‘Living Your Dreams’
