God Wants You To Bless Your World

God Wants You To Bless Your World · f r i d a y , j a n u a r y 6th · Page Visits (1,340)

Pastor Anita

Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth (Ephesians 4:28).
Pastor Anita
God wants you to bless your world! That’s the reason He wants you to work with your hands, not because you’ll go hungry if you don’t. Jesus said: "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?" (Matthew 6:26). If the birds and beasts don’t work and yet never go hungry, because God takes care of them, how much more will He take care of you, His peculiar treasure! God can take care of you. He however wants you to work so you can contribute to the development of your world.
As a child of God, you should never be idle. Even if you don’t have a job yet, find something you’re good at; something that’s good for God and good for people, and start doing it. Don’t let this month go by without you doing something. Find a need, and reach out to meet it. It doesn’t matter how menial you might think your present job or assignment is, do it with dignity and excellence. Don’t be ashamed of what you do, and never look down on yourself. Remember, you’re a child of God, and through you, the blessing comes  on whatever you’re involved in.
The Bible tells us that through a slave named Joseph, the blessing came on Potiphar’s house (Genesis 39:5). No matter what you do, let it be done excellently and for the betterment of your world. Become committed to making the world around you a better place. Let those around you feel your impact; let them be happy that God brought you their way. Your job is your door to the world; your opportunity to express yourself and the perfections God has deposited within you.
Psalms 139:14 says you’re "…fearfully and wonderfully made…." That means you’re one of a kind; a creation of complexity and wonder, not easily explained; that’s what you are. There’s so much within you that the world can benefit from. That’s why you have to make up your mind to be the best of you; for God wants to bless the world through you.
Prayer

Dear Father, I recognize my vocation and skills as avenues you’ve created for me to bless my world. Thank you for increased grace and ability to positively impact my world as I live gloriously for you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Persevere In Prayer · wednesday, january 4th ·

Pastor Chris

And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint (Luke 18:1).
Pastor Chris The Lord Jesus, in Luke 18:1-8 enjoins us through a parable the need to persevere and be importunate in prayer. 1 Thessalonians 5:17 instructs to "Pray without ceasing." That’s because through prayer our spirits are conditioned to become dependable receptacles of God’s ideas, visions and promptings. You may want to ask "How about if you feel reluctant to pray, does it mean one is spiritually weak?"
First, such a feeling doesn’t necessarily mean you’re weak, but it does signify a problem you have to deal with. Prayer is your life’s work, and you must do it. This means irrespective of how you feel, you must maintain discipline in prayer, and that’s how to prevail over circumstances.
Secondly, you should learn to stir up your spirit. 1Corinthians 14:4 says "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…." Speaking in tongues is synonymous with recharging your spirit like a battery. This helps you respond to the Lord more quickly from your spirit.
Also, the scriptures highlight for us practical steps on how to always be filled with the Spirit (Read Ephesians 5:18-21). For the one who’s continually filled with the Spirit, prayer is never a drag, but a moment of divine ecstasy; a time to revel in the love, bliss and grace of God’s embrace.
Fourthly, take advantage of prayer times with other Christians. This will help you develop a passion for prayer and a richer relationship and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Many believers all over the world have joined us in our special prayer times via the social network Yookos. If you have not signed up, log on today to www.yookos.com. The prophetic and inspirational thoughts, and short but intense prayer moments, will help you develop a consistent and exciting prayer life.

Prayer
Dear Father, I rejoice at the glorious impact and changes that take place in my spirit each time I pray! Thank you for your love, grace and heavenly bliss that enraptures me as I spend time with you in prayer. I effect positive and lasting changes through prayer, knowing that your ears are ever attentive to my voice, to answer my prayers, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Serve The Lord With All Your Heart · tuesday, january 3rd · Page Visits (2,025)

Pastor Anita

My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways (Proverbs 23:26).
Pastor Anita From our opening verse, it’s clear what the Lord wants: Your heart, and for your eyes to observe His ways. He wants you to serve Him and follow Him with whole-hearted devotion. Trust the Lord with your life and future without reservation.
At the beginning of a new year like this, there’re those who are apprehensive and uncertain about what the year holds. But as a child of God you don’t need to have any fears, worries or uncertainties about the year. Just make certain to live every day of the year in the will of God by committing yourself to doing His Work. Others may call you a fool for loving the Lord and serving Him with your life, but you can never be a fool for faith.
Nothing compares to living for Jesus. It’s the highest calling and honour! The Bible says, "He died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but only for him who died and was raised to life for their sake" (2 Corinthians 5:15 GNB). The man or woman who walks with the Lord is well positioned in life; he’s the one described in Psalm 1:3 as a tree planted by the rivers of water; everything he does prospers. He experiences maximum fulfilment and joy in life because his passion, emotions, desires and appetites are founded on Christ and the propagation of the Gospel.
Commit yourself to the Lord this year more than ever before. Let Him have a say in all that you do; follow His Word and yield to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Take your acts of worship and devotions seriously; don’t skip Church services, cell meetings and other spiritual activities in your local assembly. Follow the Lord with all your heart and serve Him with your life! Make a definite commitment to live for Him and do His will only, and teach others to do the same.
Confession
I reaffirm today, my resolve to serve you with my life and follow you in the Word, by the Word and through the Word. My life is for your glory; and I live today to bring you honour as I serve you with diligence and excellence! You’re all that I live for; thank you for the opportunity to know and serve you! You’re the personality of my deepest affection.

Positioned For Glory

Positioned For Glory · sunday, january 1st · Page Visits (1,810)

Pastor Chris

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings (Hebrews 2:10).
Pastor Chris Welcome to 2012! I’m particularly grateful to the Lord for all He helped us achieve in 2011, as we ministered the Gospel around the world. But then, looking at the New Year, I’m even more thrilled and thankful to Him for the glory, victories and successes He’s planned and positioned us for throughout the year. There’s a great outpouring of supernatural grace upon us to achieve even more this year, far beyond our expectations.
Look forward with faith, courage and excitement to a glorious and fruitful year. As a child of God you walk in preordained pathways; therefore concerning the New Year, the Lord has predestined you for glory. Perhaps, last year, you outlined so many things you wanted to achieve, but at the end of the year not so much pulled through for you. Don’t despair; rather find out where you missed it! Mark those things you ought to have done to help you achieve those goals you didn’t attain, and make up your mind to reach them this year.
Live in the light of His Word to you for the year and don’t observe or interpret situations from the realm of the senses. He’s already done all that’s necessary for you to experience His glory in your life: "According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue" (2 Peter 1:3).
This is a present-hour reality. You received the life and nature of God the moment you were born again; and immediately, you were positioned for greatness and set apart for excellence and success. Everything you require to enjoy your life to the full and be all that God created you to be has been granted you. Therefore tell yourself, "I’m going to accomplish everything the Lord has destined for me to accomplish this year, through the power of His Word and the ability of His Spirit at work in me!" Hallelujah!"
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for positioning me for glory, success and excellence, having granted me everything I need to live victoriously in the earth, to the glory of your Name. Today, I’m piloted by your Word and the Spirit into the realm of glory, where I rule and reign with you forever, in Jesus’ Name.
